Par 3 Tournament At The Masters
posted in News |Today is the par 3 tournament at The Masters. The tournament is played on a beautiful nine hole layout. This is a fun filled and relaxing time before the real action starts tomorrow. The players use friends and family to caddy for them in this mini event and a good time is had by all.
There is good news/bad news with this contest, no one has ever won the par 3 event and gone on to capture the 72 hole event in the same year. I suppose some players may be concerned about this and may want to hit a shot into the water on the last hole if they are leading the tournament.
The Masters is probably the easiest Major to win each year. The field is always the weakest and smallest of any of the Majors. Also this is the only Major that is played on the same course each year. The advantage to any particular player is if he happens to have the game suited for the rolling hills of eastern Georgia.
