Kenny Perry Wins The Memorial
posted in News |Kenny Perry may have secured his place on the Ryder Cup with his win at The Memorial. Perry played steady all day to win for the third time at Jack’s tournament. Kenny started the day three shots behind Mathew Goggin, but quickly gained ground when Mat bogeyed the first hole.
Justin Rose, Jerry Kelly, Mathew Goggin all were in contention during the day. Perry was able to shoot a three under par round on the very difficult course and severe playing conditions.
This victory should secure a place on the Ryder Cup team for Perry who has been the dominant player on the tour for the past month. The Ryder Cup will be played in Kentucky which is Perry’s home state, and will be captioned by Paul Azinger.
